Bhandhini cotton saree :
a traditional Indian garment made using anancient tie-dye technique originating primarily in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Meaning of the Name: The word comes from the Sanskrit term "Bandh,"meaning to tie or bind.
How It Is Made: Artisans manually pluck tiny sections of cloth, wrap them tightly with thread, and dye the fabric in stages. The bound areas resist the dye. When the threads are removed, signature tiny un-dyed dots and patterns emerge. Kapaas Katha +2
Fabrics: Traditionally crafted on lightweight cotton (malmal), georgette, chiffon, or rich silks like Gajji silk, Dola silk, and Kanjivaram blends.
